Why we built this
Pasting ChatGPT (or Claude / Gemini / Grok) into Word often destroys headings, tables, and math. ChatGPT2Word rebuilds real Word styles, tables, code fences, and common LaTeX as editable OMML equations — without sending your text to a conversion API.
What we optimize for
- Privacy by default — conversion stays on your device.
- Editable output — .docx headings, tables, and math you can still change.
- Second path to Docs/Word — Copy formatted (HTML + plain) when you already have a document open.
- Honest free tier — conversion is free forever; no fake “Pro $9 coming soon” paywall theater.
What we intentionally skip (for now)
Share-link server fetch, Mermaid diagrams, MCP cloud conversion, and payment wiring are out of scope while we keep the privacy story clean. See the collapsed roadmap on the home page for optional future ideas — none are required to use the converter.
